If you're moving to Montessori Compass 2.0 from another system and want to bring over historical classroom activity data—such as recorded lessons and observations—you’re not alone. Many schools want to maintain a full student history as they transition.
While Montessori Compass 2.0 allows you to record new lessons and observations in real time, we understand the importance of preserving historical data for continuity, reporting, and parent communication.
What You'll Be Able to Import
We are developing a feature that will allow our support team to help you import the following historical activity types:
- Recorded Lessons (what was presented or worked on, by whom, and when)
- Recorded Observations (teacher notes, student interactions, and anecdotal comments)
This feature will be ideal for schools migrating from Montessori Compass 1.0, another software platform, or internal documentation.
How It Will Work
When the feature is ready, schools will be able to:
- Submit historical activity data in a structured format
- Work with our support team to review and validate the data
- Have the records imported into the corresponding student profiles in MC 2.0
Each imported entry will be clearly time-stamped and attributed to a teacher or staff member (as applicable).
📌 Coming Soon
This feature is not yet available, but it is actively in development. We’re publishing this article now to provide visibility in case you’re planning ahead or searching for this option.
Once available, we will update this article with full instructions and details about how to submit your data.
