The Photos feature allows teachers and administrators to upload and organize photos into albums that can be shared with individual families, specific classrooms, or the entire school. This is a great way to keep parents connected to their child’s experiences.

Creating a New Photo Album

To create a new photo album:

  1. Navigate to the Photos page from the left-side navigation panel.
  2. Click the Create Album button in the upper-right corner.
  3. In the pop-up window, enter the following details:
    • Title: Use a descriptive title such as a student’s name, classroom name, or event name.
    • Description (optional): Add additional context about the album if needed.
  4. Select Album Viewers:
    • To create a private, individual album for a child, select that child’s name. This ensures only their parents (along with teachers and administrators) can view the album.
    • To create a shared album for a classroom or entire school, choose the relevant class or school group from the viewer list.

Once your settings are complete, click Create.

Uploading Photos

You can upload images in two ways:

  • Click Upload Photo and choose photos from your computer or device.
  • If you’re on a mobile device, you can also take a new photo directly using your camera and upload it instantly.

Photos will begin uploading immediately and appear in the selected album once complete.

Managing Albums and Photos

  • All your albums will appear on the main Photos page, sorted alphabetically, but you can edit the sort view using the Sort button in the upper right corner.
  • Click into any album to view or manage its contents.
  • You can add titles and captionsto individual photos to provide context or celebrate a moment.
    • Example: “Happy Birthday Cassidy! Wishing you another beautiful trip around the sun.”

What Families See

Parents can access photo albums via the parent mobile app:

  • They will see any albums shared with them, their child’s classroom, or ALL SCHOOL.
  • Captions will appear below photos when enlarged.
  • Parents have the ability to download any photo shared with them.

Tips

  • Use individual albums to highlight personal milestones.
  • Classroom albums are perfect for group activities, field trips, or holiday celebrations.
  • Keep your albums organized with consistent naming conventions and clear captions.
